ADULT/YOUTH FUN TOURNAMENT - APRIL 12, 2025 - BOWLERO VIA LINDA
The nominees shall be a an active member of a junior Youth Bowling program in the State of Arizona. They must be graduating high school senior, planning to attend an accredited post secondary learning institution, (this includes any public or private university, junior or state college, technical institute or specialized trade school), or is currently attending any of the schools listed above. Applicants cannot be
more than 20 years of age by August 1. This scholarship shall be in the amount of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500) and funds may be used for tuition, fees, books or room and board. This Scholarship award is a one time award and non-renewable. The funds will be deposited with the SMART Program.
Each year applications are accepted for Boy and Girl of the Year recognition. The recipients are given the honor and experience to run the Youth Open Championship and the Tournament of Champions. They attend two of the regularly scheduled board of directors meetings to learn the "behind the scenes" operation of the association. Finally each recipient of the receives a scholarship.
The youth committee holds tournaments each season providing opportunities for the youth in the state to compete and earn recognition and also to earn scholarship money. The Pepsi Tournament, Tournament of Champions and the State Open Youth Championship Tournaments provide a higher level of competition for the youth bowlers.
